Go for a walk, anyone?

I thought I'd share a picture of my battle scars. I went for my follow up today and found out that I was rather comical in the operating room. I can't remember any of it but apparently it had something to do with the Music that was playing. Anyway, I'll be in a cast for the next 3 weeks and then back to the walking boot. Hopefully, walking under my own power by July

Recovering

I am home, recovering from my surgery on Wednesday. I haven't got all of my answers yet but I refuse to be offended at God. I know there is a reason for all things and maybe someone at that Conference that night, needed to see the miracle power of God at work. Maybe someone reading this needs to see faith hold on through disappointment. If there be any glory, if there be any praise, may it go toward a God that is provident in all ways.

Frustrated Confusion

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. Put on my shoes and began my day. We were flying home and I had a 3+ hour trip to the Airport. By the time I arrived at the airport I was having pretty substantial pain in my heel and foot.

I know that what happened to me last night was real. I'm just at a loss to explain the pain today. Pray for me when you get the chance.

What an awesome God!

We just completed day 2 of the Leadership Advance at Bethel in Redding, CA. It had been a great time already but tonight got even better.

For the past couple of months I have been somewhat hobbled by a bone spur in the right heel and a tear in the Achilles tendon. I've been limited to walking in a boot cast for the most part and even then, I was usually in pain. I was scheduled for surgery on the 13th and not looking forward to it. As we packed for the trip, I put my regular, right shoe in the Suit case. I wasn't sure why but now I know fully.

Bill Johnson was speaking tonight and brought a great word on unleashing the power of Heaven. At the end of it he said, "there is someone here tonight with an achilles tendon problem in their right ankle. If you will check it out, you will find you are healed."

I hadn't "felt" anything but I knew he was speaking to me. I immediately stood up and he asked if it was me. I affirmed and he said "just walk out into the aisle and check it out." I still had the boot on, so I really couldn't tell anything. So I sat down and started un strapping the boot, knowing that my full wieght on that leg could snap the tendon but also knowing that God had done something in me!

I stood up and started walking with no pain. I stopped and pushed up a little on my toes. No pain! I walked some more and Bill asked, "How are you doing?" I held the boot up in the air and the place went nuts. When they did, I started running around the building.

I am healed and really glad that I packed that other shoe!!!!!

California dreaming

Deb and I are in California for a Leadership Conference. Since we had never been to California, we took a few extra days to see the sights. Here are some Pics of the trip so far.
