A virtual Potpourri

As my Friend, Neil Smith, occasionally says, "I'm in a mood!" So let's talk everything.

1. Health Care

Does anyone actually see any sense in the "town hall" meetings that have become such fair in recent years? Basically and truthfully, it is simply an opportunity for Politicians to spin their views. If you really believe they are interested in yours, You must have voted for Obama. :<)

All the fuss about Health Care is truly funny. Let's deal with some facts. If we would pass legislation to prevent Drug companies, Health Care providers, (both actual and Insurance companies) and Hospitals from gouging us with profits that are sometimes over 1000%, maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't be where we are at.

I know, I know, the Hospitals claim they have to gouge us because of the amount of uninsured people but come on----- take an aspirin in the Hospital and you will pay dearly for it.

How about if we put reforms into the present system, limiting the amount that we can actually be ripped off and then treat our Citizens like we treat our Car companies??? I mean really, if we actually cared about the uninsured like the hacks in our government are pretending to, then why don't we spend that kind of money on them. I submit to you that in a reformed system that eliminated price gouging, if we spent the money that we currently have spent on the Automotive Industry bailout and the Cash for Clunkers program, there would not be an uninsured person in America. That is of course until those that don't want to pay for it now, drop it from their employment package. Boys and Girls, there ain't nothing free but if the proposed Health Care bill passes we will all be paying for it for a loooong time.

2. Brett Farve

Cybill, as I like to call him, decided to unretire this week and signed with the Minnesota Vikings. As a Bears Fan, I am rejoicing because this moves means another Division Crown for Da,Bears! Yeah there are Packer fans that say, "what about us" but you are the ones who created this Prima Donna in the first place. I'll give Brett his due. In his prime he was as good as you get but his prime was over about 3 years before he retired the first time.

On a side note, since the news of the signing the Vikings have sold over 3000 Season tickets, proving that this move is a great match----intellectually at least. hehehehe

3. Conan O'Brian

????????????????

That's about it for now. I'm sure the mood will pass but I'm fairly sure Brett won't!

  • What is there to say about Conan Obrian, except that he is an unfunny New Yorker trying to fill boots in California of which he is not worthy of. Oh well, that's how I see it!
